Happy Thanksgiving!

image

For flowers that bloom about our feet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For tender grass so fresh, so sweet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For the song of bird and hum of bee,
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.

For blue of stream and blue of sky,
Father, we thank Thee.
For pleasant shade of branches high,
Father, we thank Thee.
For fragrant air and cooling breeze,
For beauty of the blooming trees,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.

For this new morning with its light,
Father, we thank Thee.
For rest and shelter of the night,
Father, we thank Thee
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

  1. Hi Nicole

Such a lovely poem and a great reminder that there is so much to be thankful for.

Your sticker scenes are fantastic. Most three year olds I know, love stickers and what a great way to group stickers of a similar theme and create a scene. You could then use the creation for story telling. Because you used ziplock bags to create your scenes you could also use play doh creations instead of stickers to make fun 3D scenes.

It was fun to look at your delightful Christmas crafts from last year. Savvy wants to make a wreath for our front door, so I am sure this is one craft we will be doing soon. Your cotton wool ball snow man is so sweet.

Today, I finally located some items from our craft cupboard that I am going to use for Savvy and Blakie's art boxes. I was planning on doing this earlier in the week, but it happened today, so next week I will be leaving their boxes out and I am so excited to see what they come up with. Given Blakie's age, his box is very basic but I have tried to use different textured and coloured paper to jazz it up for him. I am really looking forward to coming up with new and exciting things to put in the boxes.

I really liked your tracing letters with pebbles in your Tot School post. It's great to see that M still enjoys your fishing game two years on. The opposite cards from Dover Publications look like a great resource.
